Livable Housing Design Guidelines is published by Livable Housing Australia (LHA), the lead national, not-for profit organisation for liveable housing design. This document is available to our clients for discussion on how best to implement these features in your proposed home.
"A liveable home is designed and built to meet the changing needs of occupants across their lifetime. Livable design recommends the inclusion of key easy living features that aim to make homes easier and safer to use for all occupants including: people with disability, ageing Australians, people with temporary injuries, and families with young children. A liveable home is designed to:
- be easy to enter
- be easy to move around in
- be capable of easy and cost-effective adaptation, and
- anticipate and respond to the changing needs of home occupants."
